Statues of Ice

As I was saying in my previous post, I drove to Saskatoon on the weekend for my godparents' funeral. Despite the sombre occasion, the drive north was punctuated by captivating scenery. After two weeks of fog and mist, the trees in communities between Swift Current and Saskatoon were encrusted with ice and hoarfrost. This transformed the trees into statues of ice.
